ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

FOR MARIKINA AND ANTIPOLO ASSIGNMENT

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • With at least 2-5 years experience as an Estimator.
  • With at least 2 years experience as Site Electrical Engineer/Supervisor.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Can work with minimal or without supervision; exhibits a sense of urgency when necessary
  • Keen on details, highly analytical, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Knowledgeable with AutoCAD

Skills and Specifications Requirements:

  • Demonstrates a detailed understanding of electrical management and cost estimating principles.
  • Demonstrates experience with respect to the design and installation of distributed generation technologies.
  • Demonstrates experience with respect to design and installation of paralleling switchgear and transfer switches.
  • Must have experience working with medium voltage (4.16kV – 15kV) electrical systems.
  • Must have large commercial/ light industrial construction experience.
  • Strong field/site management experience is an advantage.
  • Experienced in estimating small to medium scale power projects.
  • Must know the principles of power distribution and load management applications.
  • Must be able to deal effectively with customers and contractors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and estimates for electrical engineering works in accordance with Company estimating systems and procedures, working with other members of teams to develop customer solutions and secure sufficient work by value and type to meet the company's objectives
  • Supervise and evaluate estimators by providing ongoing support to site teams relating to estimating and key assumptions  
  • Analyzes electrical plans/drawings and other related bid documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor man-hour estimates.
  • Prepares estimation work by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other related bid documents.
  • Identifies/estimates labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related bid documents.
  • Knowledgeable in material, take-off from the drawing and come up with MTO/BOQ.
  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information or sending out technical clarification/queries to customers if necessary.
  • Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and necessary adjustments to budget cost estimates.
  • Prepares estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
  • Prepares estimates/bid tabulation for reference in selecting vendors or subcontractors for at least a minimum of three (3) different vendors.
  • Capable of reviewing technical specifications to ensure the proposed supply of materials/equipment is in accordance with the RFP/RFQ.
  • Prepares cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
  • Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
  • Capable of attending bid meetings and site inspection if necessary.
